PUNCTURE PREVENTION

Before and After

Puncturesafe offers Permanent Puncture Prevention which is applied BEFORE any puncture occurs.
Puncturesafe is NOT a foam, or a get you home product, it is an environmentally friendly water based polymer.

The process permanently seals any puncture as it happens, and lasts for the legal tyre life, the system also eliminates under inflation, and so will improve fuel ecomony.

THE PROCESS

The process takes about 20 minutes, and can be done at either your home or work address, and provides a unique puncture sealant, a tyre safety system that seals punctures "as they happen".

Puncturesafe is suitable for any vehicles with pneumatic tyres, from high performance motor cars, to trucks, caravans and trailers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does Puncturesafe contain toxic chemicals?
NO. Puncturesafe conforms to all the European Union Health & Safety regulations (R.E.A.C.H.), and is 95% organic, environmentally friendly and non toxic. It is also inert and water-soluble.

Can Puncturesafe hide or mask a dangerous puncture?
NO - ABSOLUTELY NOT. It is impossible for Puncturesafe to hide or mask a dangerous puncture. Puncturesafe will not seal a tyre that has received a puncture that would weaken the tyre's inner structure to the point where it could be dangerous. When damage occurs to a tyre that compromises its structure Puncturesafe allows a little air to slowly bleed, providing additional time for the driver to bring the vehicle to controlled stop. This safety factor can reduce potential blow-outs from becoming a dangerous situation. Emergency services and security companies utilise Puncturesafe for its ability to provide a high degree of safety and reliability as well as the cost savings and tyre life extension qualities.

Does Puncturesafe extend tyre life by maintaining correct air pressure?
YES. Puncturesafe has the ability to eliminate porosity and air seepage/migration which reduces heat that is directly related to tyre and casing life. Heat caused by overloading is conducted to the wheel rim via Puncturesafe. Puncturesafe contains conditioners which will help retard ageing within the inner structure of a tyre.

Will Puncturesafe seal sidewall punctures?
NO. It is important to realise that Puncturesafe cannot hide or mask a dangerous puncture. Even if there is some rubber recovery and the puncture has not weakened the structure of the tyre. Puncturesafe is designed to bleed from a puncture in the sidewall and the tyre will deflate in a slow controlled manner. The much thinner sidewall of tyres flexes, and so therefore this allows Puncturesafe to bleed slowly allowing a controlled deflation.

Will Puncturesafe eventually dry or ball up in the tyre?
NO. Puncturesafe´s unique proprietary process protects against separation of the product's ingredients. Tyres exposed to normal operational temperatures and high speeds will not cause Puncturesafe to break down.

Will Puncturesafe seal large punctures
NO. Puncturesafe seals punctures measured by the size of the object causing the puncture, not the actual size of the puncture itself, regardless of how small a puncture may be, if the object has extensively damaged the tyre's integrity, the puncture will continue to bleed air along with an amount of the Puncturesafe product. This is a specific safety factor designed within the Puncturesafe formula. Grades A & B (High speed grade for cars, bikes, etc.) will seal punctures up to and including 6mm diameter, and Grades C & D suitable for the heavy duty plant and industrial market will seal up to and including 9mm diameter.

Does Puncturesafe run to the bottom of the tyre?
NO. Puncturesafe's unique process transforms the formulation into a gel state that defies gravity, allowing it to cling to the entire inner surface of the tyre. This ability to coat the inner surface of the tyre is one of Puncturesafe's closely guarded manufacturing secrets.

Must you fully deflate the tyre to apply Puncturesafe?
NO. Our dealers and distributors have the facility to install Puncturesafe with a special pump under pressure, and only a little air may be lost during installation, which can be corrected upon completion. However, our DIY kits designed for customer installation will require the tyre to be deflated fully as the specialised pump is not available with this option.

Is Puncturesafe strictly for sealing a damaged tyre?
NO. Puncturesafe is designed as a preventative measure for the entire lifetime of the tyre - and was intended to be used prior to a puncture occurring. In certain circumstances Puncturesafe may be used to seal a puncture after it occurs.
However, Puncturesafe will not mask or hide damaged tyres that have been compromised in their inner structure.

Can Puncturesafe be used in tyres with tubes?
YES. Puncturesafe will seal punctures in both tyres with or without tubes as long as it is not a dangerous puncture, and the tyre condition is such that rubber recovery can occur. In order to ensure that rubber recovery can occur, and therefore that Puncturesafe will work correctly, it is important that the tube has a sufficient amount of natural rubber. This is critical to ensure a positive secure seal. If the object causing the puncture squirms whilst the vehicle is moving at higher speeds, it is then possible that it can rip the tube, so even Puncturesafe may, in this instance, be unable to seal the puncture. Any object should be removed (if, for any reason, Puncturesafe has been unable to eject it), to avoid this damaging "squirming" action.

Can tyres treated with Puncturesafe be repaired?
YES. Puncturesafe does not contain any adhesive or chemicals that would alter the tyres integrity, and is totally water-soluble in its liquid stated, and even when cured it can easily be removed from the interior of any tyre. Al major repairs are performed by simply wiping the punctured area with a damp cloth, then wipe dry and repair.

Does Puncturesafe create a mess when a tyre is dismounted?
NO. Puncturesafe is a viscous polymer gel that does not flow like water in a static tyre.

Is Puncturesafe a permanent repair?
The tyre industry claims that a "Permanent Repair" refers to a tyre repair that is permanently affixed to the puncture area by means of adhesives and/or vulcanisation. In the case of Puncturesafe the seals are positive, secure and remain airtight for the life of the tyre, but it is not a glue or an adhesive. Puncturesafe's design means that for safety reasons the permanency of a Puncturesafe seal is contingent upon the integrity/condition of the tyre into which it is installed (i.e. it will not hide or mask dangerous punctures, and for those safety reasons it is deliberately intended not to seal this type of puncture but will give a controlled deflation, allowing the vehicle to safely come to a halt).

Is a Puncturesafe seal as good as a patch?
YES. Puncturesafe is often better than a patch because Puncturesafe is a preventative and will seal the puncture as it occurs. A patch is only be applied after the puncture has occurred, and often further damage occurs to the tyre between the time the puncture happens and driving to the garage to have the puncture repaired. Driving on a flat radial tyre, even for a short distance, will create extensive internal damage that is irreversible and normally goes unnoticed either by the repairer or by the customer. The enormous safety enhancement is a major reason to choose Puncturesafe as a preventive maintenance product.

Will Puncturesafe rust rims or attach and corrode steel belts?
NO. Puncturesafe has highly advanced and specialised rust inhibiting systems, protecting steel and aluminium rims and steel belts against rust and corrosion.

Can tyre treated with Puncturesafe be retreaded?
YES. Puncturesafe is compatible with all retreading methods. Also Puncturesafe treated tyres exhibit greater rubber resilience when compared to untreated tyres. For this reason Puncturesafe increases the casing's ability to achieve additional retreading, and this increased retreadability provides an economic saving.

Does Puncturesafe freeze in cold climates?
NO. Puncturesafe's operating temperature ranges from -40C up to 149C.

Will Puncturesafe last as long as the tyre?
YES. Puncturesafe will endure for the legal tread life of the tyre.

Is the amount of Puncturesafe in a tyre critical?
YES. Application charts are used by all our Distributors and Dealers, and charts are provided for use with the calibrated DIY Kits.

Does Puncturesafe void tyre manufacturers warranty?
NO. Puncturesafe will not void their warranties. Puncturesafe's unique polymer composition is completely compatible with all tyre components.
